Staff are your hotel's biggest cost — and often the haziest: hours on paper slips, wages worked out from memory, and no idea how the day went until the end of the month. In this module, working time records itself, pay follows from the work actually done, and every evening you see whether the day made a profit.
“Working hours, payroll and daily profit — without the paperwork”
The payroll basis grows out of work events, not month-end spreadsheets. Hourly pay and piece rates live in one rules engine.
The boundary with accounting is explicit: Hotel Ops prepares an auditable basis and export; final payroll stays with accounting. For piece rates the system validates the minimum-wage floor (€780/month, 2026) and supplements — night ≥50%, overtime and holidays 100% (Labour Law s. 67–68). Admin time in the calculator is never the staff wage bill.
If someone at your hotel writes down by hand every day when staff arrive and when they leave — at the front desk, in housekeeping, in the kitchen — and then adds up the hours from those notes at month-end, you know how that ends. Slips go missing, entries get forgotten, and in a dispute over hours worked everyone has their own version — and nobody has proof.
Our solution. When an employee arrives at work, they press one button on their phone — and one more when they leave; the timesheet builds itself, without a single manual entry. You don't have to review the whole list: the system shows you only the exceptions — someone hasn't clocked in, a shift was left open, times don't match the planned rota. A missed punch takes seconds to correct, and the correction stays visible in the history.
If your month ends with paper slips and a calculator — this one worked so many hours at such a rate, that one cleaned so many rooms at such a tariff — you know how many evenings it takes. One property pays by the hour, another by the room, and when an employee questions their total, all you have to fall back on is memory and notes.
Our solution. Hotel Ops puts the payroll calculation together itself — from the timesheet and from the work actually logged. Both common models are covered — pay per hour and pay per room, plus supplements for extra tasks — and you can open any amount and see exactly what it's made of, down to a specific day and a specific room. All that's left for you is to review the exceptions, approve, and hand the finished calculation to your accountant.
If you only see your business in numbers once a month, when your accountant pulls the report together, you're running your hotel blindfolded. How much came in from bookings today, what your staff cost, what went out in write-offs — nobody adds it up daily, and a bad month only surfaces when nothing can be changed any more.
Our solution. Hotel Ops pulls each day together into a single report every evening: booking revenue, the day's staff costs, write-offs and consumption — and the difference between them. The report comes to you by itself; you can tap any number and see what's behind it. If a day looks unusual, the system flags it separately.
